Caramel Custard Easy Recipe

  • Custard Powder 100 GMs (Vanilla)
  • Milk full cream 300 ml
  • Sugar 5-6 teaspoons
  • Vanilla Essence optional 2-3 drops
  • Mint for garnish


  1. Take a boil and mix the custard powder with water
  2. Take a thick bottom pan, then add milk and the custard powder mix into it
  3. Start boiling then add 2 tablespoon of sugar into it
  4. Keep cooking till it’s thick and cooked
  5. Take another pan and add 3 tablespoon of sugar and start making caramel of it
  6. As the sugar melts pour it into a muffin mould, then pour the mixture on it and bake for 20 min at 160° C
  7. Take it out and de mould it on a plate
  8. Serve with garnish

Chef Tips:

  • While making the caramel make sure you keep your hands steady because it’s one of the hottest items
  • If you don’t have oven then you can bake in microwave too
  • Cooking of Custard in milk is also important, use whisk to avoid lumps
  • While baking use water in the tray before baking in oven, in microwave it’s not required
