Cuisine: Chinese Starter
Serves: 2 people
Ingredients:
- Lotus Stem 500gms
- Cornflour 100gms
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Ajinomoto or broth powder to taste
- Sesame seed for garnish
- Onion 1pc
- Capsicum 1pc
- Chilly Sauce 3tbsp
- Tomato ketchup 4tbsp
- Refined oil for frying
- Chopped Garlic 1tsp
- Honey 1tsp
Method:
- Peel the Lotus Stem, slice it and boil it
- Dust it with cornflour and deep fry it till golden brown
- Take a pan, add oil, then chopped garlic, diced onion and capsicum
- Sauté them then add salt, pepper and ajinomoto
- Then add Tomato ketchup, Chilly sauce cook for sometime then add fried Lotus stems
- Sauté for 2-3min then add honey and serve it on the serving plate
- Garnish it with sesame seeds and serve hot.
Note: We can add Paneer to make it Honey Chilly Paneer
