  • Chickpeas (Choley) Raw 250 grams
  • Onion medium 1pc
  • Capsicum medium 1pc
  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper powder to taste
  • Sesame seed 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon 1pc
  • Maida 3 tablespoon
  • Corn Flour 3 teaspoon
  • Green Chilly 1-2pc
  • Basil chopped
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

    • Soak the chickpeas over night, then boil it adding salt into it
    • Chop the vegetables finely, Onion, Capsicum, Garlic
    • When the Chickpeas are boiled drain the water and mash them
    • Add vegetables in the chickpeas and then add salt, pepper, chopped basil and lemon juice
    • Then add Maida and Corn Flour for binding
    • Make small round patty and shallow fry till golden brown
    • Serve hot with Hummus*

    Chef Tips:

    • Overcook the Chickpeas but take it out of water immediately so that they don’t drink water
    • After mixing of all the ingredients keep it inside the fridge for sometime
    • This mixture can be kept for a week and used again

    Pindi Chana Easy Recipe

    Pindi Chana:

    Cuisine: Indian Main Course
    Serves: 2pax


    • White Chana (Chickpeas) Medium 250gms
    • Onion medium 3pcs
    • Tomato 2pcs
    • Ginger & Garlic paste 2tbsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Garam Masala to taste
    • Red chilly powder to taste
    • Coriander powder to taste
    • Tea bags 5pcs
    • Cinnamon small piece
    • Dry red chilly 2pcs
    • Lemon 2pcs
    • Coriander leaves for garnish


    1. Soak the chickpeas overnight
    2. Then boil it adding salt, tea bags and cinnamon
    3. Blend the onion and tomato separately in blender
    4. Take a pan, add oil, then start cooking the blended onion
    5. As the onion start getting brown, add all the spices, ginger and Garlic paste and cook
    6. After sometime add tomato purée
    7. Cook till it leaves Oil
    8. Add the boiled chickpeas in the gravy, check salt and add lemon juice
    9. Cook for 10min, garnish it with dry red chilly, lemon and coriander
    10. Serve hot
